The annual Indonesian Art Study Tour is designed for people involved in visual art in Australia to connect quickly and effectively with the Indonesian art scene. The tour ran in 2018 and 2019, and a 2020 tour was planned and fully booked, but cancelled due to the pandemic.
With travel once more possible, we have scheduled a tour for 2023 and are calling for expressions of interest. The tour takes place on an air-conditioned 22 seat bus, with wi-fi. First up is a day and a half in Bali and Ubud, followed by a criss-cross journey through Java, visiting Bandung, Jakarta, Surakarta, Magelang and finishing in Yogyakarta for the opening of ArtJog 2023.
