Thailand Art Study Tour

In 2023, we took eight Australian artists, collectors and art workers to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai to experience museums, collections, studios and the Thailand Biennale. Our next tour will focus on two key centres of Thai contemporary art: Chiang Mai, with its long-established art scene of studios, project spaces, and private museums; and the host city of the upcoming Thailand Biennale, which we will experience through its opening and VIP program. 16albermarle’s local partner is Art4C Art Centre in Bangkok, directed by curator and academic Haisang Javanalikhikara, who curated Other Possible Worlds: Contemporary Art from Thailand at 16albermarle in 2022.
